"SALT" comprises husband and wife Doug and Kaylene Whitaker and musical brothers Peter Heaton and Ben Baylis. We are all based in the beautiful Bega Valley in the Far South Coast of NSW. "SALT" allows us to play the significant popular music soundtrack of our lives to date. It is immensely satisfying performing classic and popular songs live. We are constantly reshaping our set list and can easily adjust to suit any occasion.
Whilst all four of us took separate journeys in separate locations, we all began cutting our teeth performing live from the late 80's. We all performed in a range musical groups across the state from light contemporary pop to heavy metal in front of two guys leaning against a bar right through to major events in front of thousands of people.
Joining forces in 2016, we discovered a natural chemistry that continues to drive us today. Whilst our greatest achievement to date is performing at the New Year Re-Loaded event after the devastating 2019 bushfires which was televised across America by Fox, we just love what we do and love that we get to share the experience with each other. Constantly searching for a perfect show, we continuously refine our sound, gear, song list and performance.
We are excited about the prospect of performing more in Canberra and major centres up the coast. With an increase in interest in "SALT" by wedding planners and corporate event planners, we do book out our calendar very quickly.
